Sarah Lemire received her dance training from the acclaimed Metropolitan School of the Arts (formerly Metropolitan Fine Arts Center.)For over a decade she studied ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, modern, lyrical, contemporary, and hip-hop.She has also successfully completed and passed 6 levels of the performance exams class for the Royal Academy of Dance. She performed in the touring holiday show Frosty Follies for several years in both lead and ensemble roles. Her various ensemble and solo roles in Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker include: Party girl, Harlequin doll, Mice, Snow, China Doll, Mirlitons, and flowers. She is continuing to grow her knowledge and love of dance as she completes her degree in Arts Management with a minor in Dance at George Mason University. Currently she is a teacher with Joy of Dance, spreading her love of dance throughout the northern Virginia region. She works with students of all ages striving for excellence, confidence, and creativity while fostering a supportive and enthusiastic environment.She is delighted to share her passion for fine arts with the students and staff at Sterling Ballet Academy.
