About Sterling Ballet – A Short Video

With the opening of the Academy in 2010, Sterling Ballet is
the first studio in the region to offer instruction in classical
Russian ballet and to teach the world-renown Vaganova
technique.
This formal instruction is provided through our directors, Mr.
Ulzii and Ms. Tuya, both having graduated from Vaganova
Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. With these two
experienced dancers and instructors, Sterling Ballet serves
the demand for more intensive study in the region with a
more structured and refined teaching approach.
Our instructional studios have recently expanded in response
to the growing need in the community. Now, with over 8,000
square feet, we accommodate more students across a wide
range of age, skill, and dance design – small studios for the
youngest dancers learning for the first time, larger studios for
pre-professional classes, and a black box theater for
performance rehearsals and in-house performances.
And, thanks to the support of our wonderful student families,
the Academy has steadily grown over the years, inviting a
diverse range of students, teachers, and our administrative
staff, and forging friendships among students that will last a
lifetime.
We are pleased to offer our after school program, an
educational system designed to train our students in a variety
of dances while at the same time accommodate the
completion of homework, provide reading, arts & crafts and
tutoring, all done by a team of devoted instructors.
Our goal for students is to prepare them to present their
talents and hard work by appearing in professional-level
performances of our sister organization, the Sterling Ballet
Company. This includes class exhibitions and opportunities
for multiple full-length ballet productions such as the
Nutcracker, Wolves, Jewel Heart, and Cinderella.
